Reader’s Digest Condensed Books are frowned upon by most serious booksellers and collectors. Book lovers hate to throw them out, but sometimes they don’t have a choice. The bench in the above photo shows just how creative some booksellers can be when it comes to finding new uses for Reader’s Digest Condensed Books and other useless books.
A few booksellers are selling Reader’s Digest Condensed Books.
By the way, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books are now called Reader’s Digest Select Editions.

Condensed is For Soup, Not Books….but then again…
Better yet, maybe the Utne Reader, which I’ve always thought of as RD for progressive thought, should start offering condensations, picking from the more unique and quirky fringes of book publishing.
