A colleague told me yesterday that he had purchased 6,000 books from the estate of a collector who had died recently. The interesting thing about the collector is, that days before his death, he was still buying books on the internet even though he was surrounded by books he hadn’t read. He died with $87,000 in credit card debt, most of it racked up by his neverending thirst to buy more books.
As my colleague said, “These are the people we depend on to make our living.”
Purchase used and rare books from The Book Hound.
